Nadaburg Unified School District is in Wittmann, AZ, a small, unincorporated community in Maricopa County, located about 35 miles northwest of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Settled in the beautiful Sonoran Desert, Wittmann has a colorful history. Records of times gone by include a dramatic blend of the Wild West, intercontinental railroads, and gold fever.
Growing from a red, one-room schoolhouse to a modern educational system, covering more than 117 square miles, Nadaburg Unified School District continues to move forward while embracing the memories of those that came before.
We trust you will enjoy browsing our site. We’ve gathered all the information you’ll need as we partner together in the education of our children. Again, welcome to Nadaburg – you’ll see we have a lot to offer.
Desert Oasis Elementary School (K-8) is completed and will open for students on August 11, 2008. Principal Bill Collins will be on site welcoming and registering students beginning the week of July 28th. A special thanks to Core Construction and DLR Group (architects) for completing the project on time and within budget.
During the 2008-09 school year, the district will likely identify and secure land on which to build the new high school. It is anticpated that this year's fifth graders will be the first to occupy Nadaburg's first high school--a school designed to connect our students to their futures.
The Nadaburg Board of Education, faculty, and staff have set high expectations to prepare every student to be successful in the 21st century. Thank you for joining us in our mission to educate tomorrow’s leaders today. Follow us into the future!
